Services
Having served the sleepless for more than 20 years, Dr. David Ostransky knows the secret to a healthier, more productive life. “The key to wellness and success,” he says, “is simply a good night’s sleep.” At NTLSC, our Sleep Services include an outpatient evaluation for adult and pediatric patients with any of the 80 common and unusual sleep disorders. Each NTLSC site features a computerized Sleep Laboratory, where sleep studies are conducted by caring clinical staff. Lung Services provided at North Texas Lung & Sleep Clinic include outpatient evaluation for patients with both common and unusual lung conditions and an evaluation of respiratory symptoms such as cough, shortness of breath and hemoptysis (coughing up blood). Both initial consultations and ongoing care are provided.
Consultation
After you contact the clinic, you will begin the evaluation and consultation process by completing a patient questionnaire which will be sent to you by regular mail. Please bring all of your medications, prior chest X-rays, CT scans, and pulmonary function tests, or any other pertinent medical information to your first clinic visit. Our ancillary medical staff will review your questionnaire, medications, medical records, vital signs, and preliminary testing. You will undergo a comprehensive physical examination by our physician staff.
The physician’s impressions, including recommendations for testing and treatment, will be shared with you. Our staff will take time to educate you about your diagnosis, prognosis and self-care tips. Your referring physician or primary care physician will be called and a comprehensive report will be sent to him or her with your permission. A copy of the report will be provided to you upon request.
