The staff of North Texas Lung & sleep Clinic is pleased to welcome Makeba Thomas, MSN, NP-C to the practice. Makeba Thomas is originally from Guyana, South America and currently resides in Keller Texas. She has an extensive background in nursing and medicine. We are proud that she has selected our healthcare team. She received her Nurse Practitioner credentials from Maryville University in St. Louis Missouri in 2014. She also has a BSN in nursing.
Makeba has extensive nursing experience working as an ICU staff nurse and hospital supervisor. She managed medically complex and critically ill patients and provided support to their families.
Makeba has completed a preceptorship in primary care practice with a focus on clinical history and physical examination skills, patient education and preventive healthcare.
Makeba has completed a preceptorship at Huguley Nursing and Rehabilitation managing medically cpomplex adult and geriatric patients.
Makeba worked in a busy clincal practice of adult and geriatric internal medicine. She provided a continuum of care from wellness to the full spectrum of acute and medically complex chronic illnesses.
Makeba has completed an intensive, comprehensive preceptorship here with David Ostransky, DO in pulmonary and sleep medicine.
Dr. Ostransky is pleased to announce that Makeba Thomas is an integral member of the healthcare team here at the North Texas Lung & Sleep Clinic and will be seeing patients at the Fort Worth and Southlake offices.
